| We offer some common guidelines and conventions on how to use it and how to interact with others on HouseSpin.
Recognize different objectives amongst users on this site
Users on HouseSpin have different objectives than perhaps you do. Some people will use the site to list a house for sale, some want to buy a house and still others are simply looking for a house to rent. Recognize and respect these differences, and treat others the way you would like to be treated.
Provide information that is factual, accurate, unbiased and above all do not make any statements or ask questions in emails or postings that violate the Fair Housing Laws.
Act respectfully
Spam is annoying and disrespectful, and may actually work against your objective. Spam is normally defined as "unsolicited commercial email", and includes any message that is both unsolicited (the recipient did not ask to receive it), and commercial in nature (the recipient is asked to buy a product or service).
Respect the privacy of others on the HouseSpin. You CANNOT convey ANY private information you receive from other Housespin members/users in any communication form at any time.
Do not use profanity or vulgarities in any type of communications. Do not start or continue a "flame war" with any member or user.
Communicate truthfully
Making false statements in your house/ad listing, house description, public profile, public/private communcations can also work against you and can open yourself to liability.
Communication etiquette is critical for your and others success in using this site.
